toned cyanotype collage on fabric I Don't See C is a 60'' by 30'' toned cyanotype collage print. The project was created for Body: A Non-Figurative Exhibition. The show description, written by Nykoli Koslow, read as followed:
The body is a concept difficult to categorize. Its identity is often too elusive and expansive for its own skin. The body moves, becomes, and transcends its own figure. Whether we like it or not, the body we inhabit is all we have to experience this world. For this exhibit, each artist has a simple prompt; to create work that exemplifies what it is like being you, in your own body that is both shaping and shaped by the world. sharpie on canvas The Gallery Stage is a drawing series created for Var Gallery and Studios' annual 30x30x30 Exhibition. The show prompts artists to create 1 artwork a day for 30 days. The work also must be 6'' by 6''.
During the months of November and December, I sketched gesture drawings of the musicians, comedians, and poets that performed at Var Gallery and Studios. These gesture drawings served as a visual reference for the final drawings. |
